Program Summary:
Home Ties is a youth residential center housing up to 10 adolescent males. The AYS Home Ties shelter serves juvenile offenders and Children in Need of Care(CINC) referred by the Community Correction Offices or the CINC Contractors The young men housed by Home Ties are expected to attend school, work on earning a GED, or hold down a job. They also complete scheduled chores, such as washing their own clothes and helping with house upkeep, for a small allowance each week. Staff monitor personal hygiene, study time, bed time, etc. The goal is for the youth to return to home, resource care or a more appropriate setting.

Stories:
Sometimes, it doesn't take much to make a difference in the life of one of our youth.

Referrals / Admission:
All referrals come directly from Community Corrections or the CINC contractors.

How To Get Involved: Home Ties is always in need of donations and positive role models to share with the youth one of their passions. If you have a skill or enthusiasm that you would like to share with the youth one day or on an ongoing basis, check the Get Involvedpage for more information.

Imagine housing and feeding 10 teenage boys every day! As you can guess, it takes a lot of food and supplies. That's why we can always use donations of basic household items, clothing, school supplies and personal hygeine products. Check out our wish list... Your contributions are always greatly appreciated!
